We live in such a mixed-bag time fo...It's true. We live in such a mixed-bag time for food. On the one hand, there is so much packaged garbage full of trans fats and HFCS out now. And industrial farming, gross ultra-pasteurized dairy, etc. On the other, there are five different store and a farmer's market in a five-mile radius that will supply me with 17 different varieties of organic lettuce, or goat chevre, and on and on. My childhood was one of casseroles cooked with canned cream of mushroom soup and exotic dinner out was Chinese or Mexican. Now the choices of good food are endless. It's amazing to...so right, so right, so right. It's amazing to me what we feed our kids in schools these days. Makes my school lunches (so long ago) seem gourmet in comparison.
